FTHB is one of those cute little acronyms people in the business like to toss out silently signaling that they are “seasoned.” The sad truth is, the move from rent to home ownership is typically – not easy. And beyond being difficult, it can take much longer than we imagine. Often times, people just get discouraged and quit. Baruch Spinoza is credited with saying “All things excellent are as difficult as they are rare.” (Del likes that quote.) But it can be done. People take that first step onto the housing ladder every single day. So why can’t you? Don’t expect it to be easy the first time. It might be, but if it were, there would be a lot fewer renters.
